When you use the Compare Data task in SAS Enterprise Guide, an exception occurs in the SAS report. The exception, which is caused by certain German characters (for example, ü), occurs when SAS Enterprise Guide runs on a Unicode server.
Here is an example:
Unable to read SAS Report file. Invalid character in the given encoding. Line 90, position 70. -------------------------- Technical Information Follows -------------------------- Exception Details: ---------------------------------------- Exception type: System.Xml.XmlException Message: Invalid character in the given encoding. Line 90, position 70. Source: System.Xml Target Site: Throw Stack Trace: at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(String res, String arg)......
This problem occurs only when the result type is SAS Report. It does not occur when the result type is HTML.
